“Only give life to an object which never existed before.” Kostas Metaxas designs luxury collections of high end HiFi. Every item in the collection is HiFi Art – totally and utterly different, organic and imaginative. “Otherwise they have no reason to exist”. He made a decision to create a “visual language”, to go out on his own and design uniqueness in an industry that had failed to evolve.
The Metaxas & Sins range also includes the world’s only newly designed, high end, open reel tape machine. An improvement on anything that has ever gone before both musically and visually.

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM THIS EPISODE
“I use a lot of my own recordings (as test tracks). What I’ve always found is that if I want to judge how my equipment sounds I use my own recordings. If I want to judge how it will sound in normal people’s homes I use commercial recordings”
“The tape recorder business is not about making money. It is developed for the love of it. To be an Aussie, to come from nowhere and make something that crazy and get that accolade (Absolute Sound Review), that’s your payment”
“When you look at the rest of the luxury businesses the one that hasn’t evolved is high end audio. Cars, watches, fashion – there’s thousands of companies, but in high end audio it was basically virgin territory. No one had bothered to do museum quality, high end objects of art in audio“
